Women's Basketball started in 1892, one year after the invention of the game. Senda Berenson, a physical education teacher at Smith College, amended some of the rules for women. The first game using her rules was in 1893 when a team of her freshman students played a team of her sophomore students.
I'm sure it would be impossible to pin down the first competitive women's athletic event in the world.
A couple of milestones, though:
1921: Monte Carlo hosts "the first true international meeting for women... Five countries were represented in eleven events"
1928: Women's events are first included in the Olympics
they started playing them in 1345 and those sports were gopher Wrestling and beaver racing!
women sarted playing tennis in the late 1900's
yes it is. i think the only difference is ball size ( the men's is bigger).
well, I do not think it matters. because ,take me as an example, I even cannot tell the difference between mens basketball shoes and womens basketball shoes.
I think he does like playing basketball, he liked soccer but now he likes basketball. If he didn't like basketball, why would he make all these buzzer-beaters. So, I think he does like playing basketball. He likes playing basketball because, he is a basketball player. I know that he likes basketball because my cousin is obsessed with him.
i dont think so
i think in 1925
Yes I think so.
I don't think so, If he is he must be riding the bench.
Well I dont think theres just a womens cheerleading because a man (Johnny Campbell) was the first person to start cheering.
i think playing lots of sport's, like mostly basketball i guess my big brother use to be short and he started playing basketball and he got taller

Mens basketball is more poular because they have more exciting things. Like dunking and fights and people getting tachnicals. Womens basketball has none of that. IN womens basketball only one person dunks and she doesn't do it all the time. that's why womens basketball is less popular than mens.Answeri think men's basketball is more popular because their sport has been around longer than women's. men's basketball was invented first Women started playing basketball one year after basketball was invented. So the above answer really has no meaning in the equation.AnswerPeople want to see the best athletes play and the bottom line is that men who are good enough to compete in the NBA or NCAA are better than their female counterparts. Personally, I think Women's college basketball can be interesting when you have top teams like Tennessee and UCONN squaring off, but it's a fact that male basketball players are better. Case in point: A few years ago I read a Sports Illustrated article about how Pat Summit's Tennessee Volunteers play against a practice squad of male students. Obviously, these guys are talented, but they aren't good enough to make the men's team and yet they're good enough to beat some of the best women.
