It depends what your asking, If you wondering how to put your hands on the club than that's a personal thing. There are 2 main grips, overlap and interlock. You can look these up on Google to view how to do them. If you would consider yourself having smaller hands an interlock would most likely be right for your, If you think your hands would be on the larger side of the equation than an overlap would most likely be right for you but try both at the range and see whats right for you

The highest quality grips on the market are ones like Golf Pride, Lamkin and Winn. There are many types, colours and sizes. There are plenty of other grips, which range from mid price to very cheap, and it is up to you how much you want to spend on them.

The actual types of grip are;

  • Wrap, these are made of rubber in the style of the old leather wrap around grips
  • Standard, these are simply made of rubber with various designs on them to give more grip
  • Cord grips, these are standard rubber grips with a fine string running vertically up them, these are very popular with the pro's, but for an amateur golfer who rarely changes their grips they are not ideal, this is because the string will actually cut the hands of you if not changed.
  • Multi compound grips, these have a corded top half and a simple rubber bottom half, these came out a few years ago and are very popular.
