depending on weight and position..
around 150-185 a good time is 4.6ish in high school. that's for a runningback/corner
around 186-210 a good time is 4.8 -5.0. that's for linebackers and strong safeties.
210 and up usually linemen, and a good time is about 5.5ish for DE's about 5.2 -5.3
40 yard dash times vary among positions. Usually, "skill" players (running backs, wide receivers, defensive backs) average around 4.4-4.5 seconds, whereas bulkier players (linemen) average around 5.0 seconds.
the fastest time is 4.43
and the slowest time is 6.65.So i gues average would be 5.44.
5.4
4.7 .46
Pretty fast, but depends on how developed you are. If you are already a MAN then its okay..
My son is ten and ran it in 4.78 seconds
6.6 seconds is considered below average for a 40 yard dash for a 12 year old boy. To improve this I would just practice sprints and do leg workouts such as squats.
about 60 seconds.
A 10 yard dash time is really not a good judge of your speed, the distance is too short. A 40 yard dash is what you need to get a good estimate of your abilities. but I'll give you time for both 40 yard dash-between 5-5.8 seconds 10 yard dash-between 1.3-1.5 seconds
My 2-year-old son ran the 40 in 15.75 seconds at the NFL Experience. He's pretty big and coordinated for his age, but I have no idea if that's fast or slow. He was laughing at the finish line, so that's all that matters.
For a 12 year old boy, 6.82 seconds is the average time for a 40 yard dash. The fastest time posted is 6.13 seconds.
There are no records or data kept for this activity, and therefore also no sample from which to compute an average.
I ran a 4.98 40 so i donβt know if thatβs the record
14 seconds
I do not know. But when i was twelve, I ran a 100meter dash in about 12, 13 seconds. Is that good?
My 11 year old just ran 50 yards in 6.9 seconds in two consecutive attempts in the from yard. Distance was marked off with a 150-foot tape measure.
