As of the 2008 season, there have been 5 players to hit 3 home runs in a post season game. The only National League player to do it was Pittsburgh Pirates first baseman Bob Robertson who hit 3 HRs against the San Francisco Giants in Game 2 of the 1971 NLCS. The four American Leaguers that hit 3 home runs in a post season game are Adam Kennedy of the Angels in 2002, Reggie Jackson of the Yankees in 1977, Babe Ruth of the Yankees in 1926 and 1928, and George Brett of the Royals in 1978.
