NOPE!! Its actually Wilt Chamerblain who owns the record for most points in a game, during his NBA rookie season. In January 25, 1960 and February 21, 1960, Wilt scored 58 points each while playing for the Philadelphia Warriors.

His Airness Michael Jordan even scored more than 47points in hhis Rookie campaign. After the alleged "Freeze Out" in the 1985 NBA All Star Game led by Isiah Thomas and Magic Johnson, Jordan poured in 49pts, 15rebs, 5assts, 6stl, against the Thomas and the Detroit Pistons, in the game that became known as the "Freeze-Out Revenge"
