You should not try to do much weight. If you have a good spotter you could probably do your body weight. But remember what's more important? Bengkulu 200lbs or doing your body weight 10 times?

When I was 14 that is when I started to weight lift and I started off at 115 pounds and I weight 164. Now a year later I could bench 225 and I was 180 pounds. So I would say on average. If you are starting maybe 100 pounds or less. And if you have been weight lifting around 185-225

The average 14 year old shouldn't be working on his max bench press. Speed, flexibility, balance, coordination, timing, endurance should be the emphasis. A variety of physical activities with a focus on key sports will do better than time on a bench. Lifting at 14 might make a very small difference in ability at football or Wrestling but otherwise is boring and can stunt growth and cause early baldness.

when i was 14 i was lifting 225 and I'm 5'3

I totally agree with the guy writing above but don't start any chest workout without doing stretches first and then dumbbell flies. Dumbbell flies isolate the chest which gets it tired first so when you do end up bench pressing your triceps and front deltoids don't get tired first. I'm 14 and I can do dumbbell flies of 60 lbs. in each hand, and I can bench press 210 lbs. I'm 5" 9" and I've been working out for a year and a half so don't expect yourself to start off benching tons when you first start working out.

Also I highly recommend buying The Arnold Swarchinagger Encyclopedia of Modern Bodybuilding. It is not about steroids at all mainly workouts and exercises so try it you won't regret it.

i bench 190.....6ft 160lbs.....just turned 14.

I Literally just turned 14 i am 5 foot 11 and a half inches, 169.4pounds (77kg) and i can bench press 150 kg. I swim but i don't train for heavy weights. however i do do a half hour weight routine with 1-7 kg weights depending on the area as I'm only 14 and i don't want to be preventing growth by chucking too bigger weights around. tbh the most helpful thing i have found being able to push big weights around is when I'm angry I throw around this old 4 person couch we have on the lawn. Its also a good confidence booster as it took 2 burly men to get it up the stairs to our house and I managed to throw a 60ish kg couch almost 15 meters. That goes to show how much strength anger lends you. I am also im an area where there are a lot of farms, and this means there is a lot of quite strong guys around from working on farms, and in the holidays everyone helps with the big hay bales on various farms.

How much weight can you bench press im male 13 5 foot 4?

It mostly depends in your weight, a really good bench for any age is your own body weight.

What is an above average bench press?

There are several factors. A persons body weight and age are a pretty good indicator. This is very general of course. To be a good bench presser its usually a matter of simple practice and technique. However if you can rep your own weight you are most likely above average. If you can max out at 100lbs past your weight thats also a good indicator your pretty strong. Ex: 175 body weight x 10 or 275 at one rep max.

What can the average 17-year-old bench press?

It all depends on how much you weight, how long you have lifted and many other factors. A good scale to follow by is your body weight. The average 17 year old should be benching at or above your body weight. This is what a person should be able to lift, but if you take the average 17 yr. old the can not bench their weight.. take the average doest play football or wrestle, which is the 2 primary sports where weight lifting is part of the program. They will lift weights in basketball but it is for a different purpose not for bruit strength its more for stamina. Hell the average person should be able to do this as well but most people who do not work out can not lift their weight. And Lebron James CANNOT bench 400 lbs. Shaq cant do much more then 400 lbs.

What is the most a chimpanzee bench press?

A healthy man can bench his own weight, the average being around 185 lbs. A gorilla, highland silverback, the biggest of the gorillas, is said to be between 12 and 20 times stronger than a man. Just multiply 185 by those figures and it will give a ball park figure of what a gorilla can do if taught to bench press. On the animal channel, it stated that a large male silverback gorilla has the strength to press over 4600 pounds.

Is a 315 pound bench press good for a 50 year old male?

How much can a person lift?

Here's what my high school football coach used as the benchmark for his players: Power clean: body weight Bench: 1.5x body weight Squat: 2x body weight Dead lift: 2.5x body weight Probably less than half of the guys could actually lift that much. I would say for a regular joe, if you can bench more than your weight and squat more than 1.5x your weight, you're not doing too bad.
