∙ 9y agoThe amount of high school athletes who receive scholarships to college is very small. The sport with the highest percentage of high school participants earning at least a partial athletic scholarship is girls Golf at 1.6 percent. Football is second at 1.4 percent.

∙ 15y agoSeing as how about 35%of students try at their grades and only about 15-10% of them study to get such scholarships id say only about 5% get scholarships. So i would say 3-5% of high school students get academic scholar ships. Michael W.

My son won over $20,000 in private scholarships and got money back from the college because he won more than he needed for tuition, boarding, food, books, etc...
I don't think there is a cap on the amount of scholarships a student can win. We used SchooLinks, which helps students apply to multiple scholarships with only one application form.
