raw refers to lacking any gear... gear is supportive material to help you lift more, i.e bench "shirts" and deadlift suits... both are very tight equipment you can put on to give you a rebound effect out of the bottom of your lift (your weakest point).. when used well, gear can aid in puting 100's of pounds on to your lifts.. the absence of such equipment=raw
"Raw power" is power or strength that is completeley unrestrained
To be honest, I'm just starting out in weight lifting. But to me, power, as it relates to weight lifting, is the ability to consistently lift a given amount of weight.
