Dryness of the nipple can cause soreness. Some women have problems with dry cracked nipples, and putting a balm or salve on them daily can help.
Nursing can cause nipple soreness. If youre nursing though, you are probably already aware.
If the soreness becomes a problem, or does not let up, see your doctor for a definitive diagnosis.

∙ 12y agoMy nipples have also been very hard and sensitive these past few days, especially when im cold or something rubs them. Other symptoms im having is my period is a week late and im very bloated. I took pregnancy test and it said negative so im going to take another one next week if my period doesnt start. Also my mom said the ONLY TIME her nipples ever hurt was when she was pregnant. this isn't a regular pms symptom for me so im suspecting Pregnancy.
