Because he can play with forwards or another player in the back line
Yes, very important, as they do the most tackles and linebreaks (after winger)
There are many differences from rugby league and rugby union. Rugby league is predominantly a running game, each team has possession until they are tackled [taken to the ground] 5 times, after this possession is turned over to the opposition. On the fifth play the team in possession usually kicks for good field position when the opposition attacks, quite like in 'American' Football. In Rugby union there are far more rules and regulations. In union the attacking team stays in possession until they commit a foul, this can be in the form of a knock forward, accidental offside, not realeasing the ball on the ground, coming in from the side, playing the ball on the ground, not staying on your feet in the rook, etc. The defending team may also turn over the ball in a rook or maul or may intercept a pass, providing they are on side. Alternatively the attacking team can kick for good field position or a line-out, line outs are not found in rugby league. Apart from the same positions and player numbers and the basic rule that the ball cannot be passed forward, there are very few similarities between league and union.
Super League is not a rugby club but the top level professional rugby league club competition in Europe. The league has 14 teams and 13 of them are from England and one from France. Super League began in 1996 replacing the RFL Championship.

If you compare Rugby League to other sports such as, AFL, NFL, major league and NBA, Rugby League is like a welfare payment. Rugby League is the toughest sport. It's fast and rought. Countries that are developing Rugby League such as Amercia and Lebanon, their players don't get paid at all. NRL (National Rugby League) which is running in Australia, has a salary cap. That's the reason why, Rugby League players are so under-paid. The highest paid rugby league player in Australia is about 500k for 3 years. Super League in England is better than NRL, at least their payment are double then the ones in NRL.

Rugby League is the toughest sport in the world. You do not wear pads or any protection. During a game of Rugby League, it's very important that you are fit, because if you are not fit, you will get crushed and hit really badly. Ways to get fit for a Rugby League game, is really simple. - Run up and down (make sure you increase your distance), this is just like a came, you come down with defence and forware to tackle. -Weighs is a very good choice, considering Rugby League players are massive, therefore you need to carry them and tackle them in a tackle. - Learn the basics, people think they are all good at no-look passes and kicks that go no where, learn them and try them in a park or something.
