Well mosts gymnasts career is over by the age of 25. Even if you are not going to make it to the Olympics, most competitive gymnasts quit before the age of 18. Usually kids who are really into gymnastics will continue competing throughout high school to try to get a scholarship to a college that offers gymnastics. Gymnastics is very hard to learn after a certain age, because you do not have the flexibility, strength and endurance to do sports such as gymnastics. Not to mention, that it is nearly impossible to learn gymnastics without a coach spotting skills that are being learned and it is hard to find a coach that can spot someone as big (not literally big but just bigger than 10 year old gymnasts) as the younger gymnasts.
