Not sure about Karate, but he is does train MMA and can actually do the splits. Very athletic. Being such a big guy, wouldn't think so. Not sure about a black belt, but he is good in real life from what i have read. And good softball player also.

There are not many karate schools in China. The government there promotes Wushu. Karate is Japanese and the history between the two countries is not good.
