Colorado Springs is near the base of the Rocky Mountains, which is one of the most famous American mountains. And the song "America the Beautiful" was written when Katherine Lee Bates was amazed by the spectacular views from the top of Pike's Peak. Colorado Springs is also home of the only US Olympic Training Center. And Colorado Springs's only zoo, the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo, is one out of only two zoos in the US that are built on mountainsides and is the most famous one due to the amazing views. And Colorado Springs is also home of the US Air Force Academy
