Because the Basketball weighs more than the marble
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Most regular size, glass marbles weigh less about 0.16 ounces.
A Basketball weight about 22 ounces.
When you throw something you have to accelerate its weight (mass) out of your hand, and a property of matter called "inertia" resists you. The size of the inertial resistance is directly dependent on the mass of the object, the bigger the inertia (mass) the bigger the resistance.
Because of this it takes more effort (energy) to accelerate the heavier basketball compared to the lighter marble.

Because - a basketball is much heavier - requiring more force to move it !
the force is less because if the fulcrum is father away from the effort the force will increase and become greater. so if the fulcrum is closer to the effort there will be less force.
The original momentum of the more massive marble
The coefficient of friction is not defined for a single substance, but for two substances that have contact with each other - for example, marble with marble, marble with wood, etc.; it may also vary a lot depending on lubrication. That is, on a wet wet marble floor you'll slip easier - there is less friction - than on a dry one.
The Tennis ball is smaller and has less weight than a basketball. The tennis ball will also have less drag.
It reduces effort because effort to lift it straight up takes more effort then pushing it up a ramp which gradually goes up but uses less effort eventhough it takes more distance
I'm pretty sure a marble has less mass
It was designed to be an indoor sport less rough than basketball for older members of the YMCA, while still requiring a bit of athletic effort.
A parrot will take up less room.

A marble is more dense and has less surface area, so it is not affected by air resistance as much as the feather.
Strictly a matter of which possesses the greater mass. If the softball has less mass than a basketball, it must weigh less.
The gravitational pull affects it more or less uniformly. There are very, very slight differences caused by the height of the throw and the width of the ball but, compared to the distance from the centre of the earth, these distances are tiny and so have no effect.

Dunks??
Crushed marble stone has a low absorption rate hence less water is required which means better strength. Also the marble typically has a denser specific gravity.

A paperclip has much less mass than a basketball.
