The 2007 Patriots are wearing circular stickers on the backs of their helmets with the number 91 on them, in honor of their teammate, the late Marquise Hill.
Hill was a defensive end with the Patriots. He died in a jet skiing accident in May of 2007. Hill, who is from New Orleans, had devoted himself to helping victims of Hurricane Katrina. He was 24 when he died. He was the first Patriots player to die while on the active roster.
The league does not require them to wear the number of Sean Taylor (deceased) on their helmets, instead the Patriots wear the number of Marquise Hill on the back of their helmets to commemorate one of their teammates who died in a boating accident during the summer of 2007.
First off it is New York Giants and the New England Patriots. They wear 21 on there helmets for the Washington Redskins safety Sean Taylor who died his Miami home in 2007 30 out of 32 teams wore #21. the only two teams who did not was the Idianapolis Colts & the New England Patriots.
