Why do major league players use wooden bats?

Wooden bats are a tradition in MLB and if players used aluminum bats today I'm 99% sure that every player would hit a home run each at bat. It would be too easy for them.

Plus if the league changed to metal bats- none of the players could be compared (batting averages) with some of the all-time great people of Baseball. For example: Barry Bonds vs. Babe Ruth.

Saftey of the pitcher. Aluminum bats have too fast an exit speed. The pitcher could not defend himself in the event of a line drive back up the middle.

Most MLB players are way too strong to use Composite or Aluminum bats. The bats are more expensive and don't last very long because of the pitcher's pitching speed and the strength of the batter's swings compresses the bats. Once a bat has a flattened side, it is illegal to use in MLB. All sides of a bat must be round. Also, a 95 MPH pitch against a man like Prince Fielder will soar well over 500 feet with the same strength it takes to hit one over 400 feet with a wooden bat. They can be deemed more powerful than a corked bat.
