Steven Gerrard has been captain of Liverpool Football Club for eight years. During that time he has lead liverpool to two FA cup wins, two league cup wins, a UEFA cup win and a UEFA Champions League win. He has also captained his country in the 2010 world cup. Steven Gerrard's success in football is outstanding and he has dedicated almost his whole life to liverpool. Gerrard has come back from injery many times and still managed to get back to his scoring form. When he is on the pitch he's working and never stops. He is courageous and no matter what postion he is in, without him, Liverpool woudn't be the best club in the world.

∙ 12y agohyypia had to much pressure and didnt play well . Gerard houllier decided it was time for a change and gave the captaincy to Gerrard .hyypia went on to play his best years for Liverpool

∙ 11y agoHe cares about his teammates; if they get in a fight or argue with a ref, he immediately jumps in and stops it. He is also a playmaker, setting up his players and directing them is good ways for the club to win. He has a great personality and can influence people well.

∙ 7y agoWhen Gerrard left Liverpool, he said he did not want any regrets in his career. While he loved Liverpool, he would have regretted not experiencing a new team and style to play with. He found this new experience in the MLS at LA Galaxy, where he retired.
