According to the trade value chart in use by most NFL general managers at the time, the 1999 picks the Saints traded were worth 92.5% as much as the pick they received. However, the Saints also traded away two 2000 picks in the deal, so even if they had won the Super Bowl in 1999, they still would have "lost" the trade value-wise.
