Why are cheerleaders so popular?

cheerleaders are people who show an example of higher standards ,if they don't have high standards,they should not even be a cheerleader. Iam a cheerleader myself, I am starting my first year. I am already becoming popular because ,i show respect for everyone,i don't judge,I put myself in others shoes,i am a good listener and friend when you need one,I hang out with everyone,not just one clique.....show respect for yourself and all adults...do generouse things for people and do them in front of people also,and they will see what kind of person you are and will wanna taalk to you. Acked aprotchable,don't scare people away with a mean face or smurk,,keep it real...Like me(= and just so you know...when one cheerleader sleeps around..everyone thinks that the whole cheer team is seeping around..so that one person,is not a leader. well i hope this helps (= Thank ,Maria

Because they look hot and sexy. I think cheerleaders are popular, because at my school they start practice over the summer. They all get to know the school and each other way earlier than everyone else. So when school starts, they're more out going and confident than everyone else.

The human brain is designed in such a way so that it doesn't work good under stress. If a person is on a playing field and they have all of the stress of their coaches, friends and the crowd on them, they can play that well. A cheerleader encourages these players and they get a boost. Their stress lessens and so they are more focused on the game. The cheerleaders create a less stress scene so the players can play better.

I guess they're popular because they're the cool kids at school. Well I'm sorta a cheerleader. And we're popular because we've got school spirit! And what you need to be a cheerleader is school spirit. And of course, you should learn gymnastics. BTW, being so popular is not always so good. Just watch Glee.
