That is actually instinctual. Men are meant to be strongly built and have muscles and do all the tough work. They enjoy sports for the same reason. It's more of a caveman instinct. It's interesting for them because they're impressed by how these "Alphas" fight each other to get the glory and the honor.
Women also enjoy watching "Alphas" fight for glory, but how much they enjoy it depends on the individual person.
