The first race was won by Dick Hire from Hire auto parts on the 3/8 dirt track driving what was believed to be a 1934 Ford coupe, The last race was won by Gene Turner driving a 1955 Ford owned by the woods brothers, Delphas, And Williard. The track then had been changed to asphalt.

∙ 13y agoThe winner of the last race at the South Anthony speedway in 1964 was Gene Turner, He was driving a 1955 Ford owned by williard, And Delphos Woods.This was on a Friday night race, According to the sports news in the Ft Wayne Journal Gazzette Willie woods won the previous Friday, But, This was a misprint, Gene also won this race too. Thank, And "God bless". From an old race fan.
