Rick Peckham and Gerry Cheevers were the TV announcers for the Hartford Whalers, being seen on SportsChannel and Channel 18 in Hartford CT. Peckham has since gone on to do national TV games for Versus and is the Tampa Bay Lightning announcer on Sunshine Network in Tampa. Cheevers, who was a long-time goaltender for the Boston Bruins, and also played in the WHA with Cleveland, did the color commentary at Rick's side. Chuck Kaiton, who currently does the franchise's games still, in the Carolina Hurricanes booth, did all the Whaler NHL games, with commentators (most notably) Andre LaCroix (ex Phi Flyer) and John Forslund (also still with the franchise and also does the Carolina Hurricanes TV Cable broadcasts.) Whaler Radio Network engineers who ran the broadcasts were Bob Joyce, Mario Cajar, and Mark Bresson.
