First, Last and only Captain of the Colorado Avalanche is Joe Sakic. (Though during the 200 season Sylvain Lefebrve wore the c for a while with Sakic being out with an injury.) That is unless you are talking about the Quebec Nordiques as well in which case Jean-Guy Gendron was the first captain (in the WHA), Marc Tardiff was captain of the Nordiques their first year in the NHL.
