There isn't anyone who officially invented it. Like in elementary school, there are often games of 12 on 12 or 15 on 15, having the entire grade in the game. There is no official 6 on 6 women's Basketball league like the 5 on 5 WNBA, and thus there is no official person who started the 6 on 6. Most people just decide to add more players when there are more than 10 people who wish to play in a basketball game, and thus make it a 6 on 6.
