The fastest century in test cricket is credited to Sir Vivian Richards of the West Indies in his homeground (St. Johns, Antigua). He achieved this in the 5th Test of the West Indies - England Test series of 1986. The test match was held at St Johns, Antigua and started on April 11. Richards raced to a hundred off 56 balls, ending up finishing on 110* from 58 balls, then deciding to declare. West Indies won the match by 240 runs, which led to a second successive series clean sweep.
