I'm taking this question to mean the age of the player while he was actively playing in the majors -- not his age when he was elected. I'm just guessing, but it may have been Satchell Paige who was still pitching for the St. Louis Browns in the mid-1950's when he was in his late 40's or early 50's -- long after his prime years of the 1930's when he was a star in the Negro National league.
