Ricky Ponting has been said to be the greatest player but he has not been performing to this standard recently. Hussey has been lacking his talent also during this season. Every body knows that Sir Donald Bradman was easily the greatest early on but modern day cricket is tougher. From my point of view Michael Hussey is the greatest player when he is in form.

Clarkey is the best player of spin and the best to watch and recently scored over 300 runs in an innings. Watto is probably the the most consistent and reliable, with 40-50 assured most of the time- no big scores though. David Warner is without a doubt the best limited overs batsman with a super high strike rate and sixes occurring all over the ground. His aggressive approach has helped him into the test team and placed him as a great batsman. Watson would be missed the most because of his bowling ability as well, but going batsman only- the captain Michael Clarke would need to stay for Australia to succeed.
