Maravich also holds the career record for total points in NCAA DI, scoring 3,667 points in 83 games an average of 44.1 ppg. Division IIThe all-time NCAA career total points record is held by Travis Grant of Kentucky State a Division II school. In 131 games from 1969 to 1972, he scored 4,045 points, an average of 33.4 ppg. NAIA SchoolThe Maravich and Grant records are correct for the NCAA, but "College Basketball's" all-time leading scorer is John Pierce with 4,230 points (1,627 FGs, 881 FTs in 148 games). Pierce played for David Lipscomb University in Nashville, TN from 1990-1994. At the time, Lipscomb was an NAIA school.
