Generally, the point guard and small forward are the two best dribbers/shooters on the team.

A deadball in basketball is when someone who is dribbling the ball, stops dribbling. That person is just stuck in that spot until a teammate comes to retrieve the ball. You can only be "dead" for 5 seconds with a defender on you.
It's a orange ball that you use when you play the sport basketball, it is usually made of rubber or leather and you use it by dribbling (bouncing the ball from your hand to the floor and back to your hand) or shooting the ball into the hoop (a tall pole with a metal loop with a net attached to it).
The traveling violation occurs when person throws ball on the court and another player receives it and moves both feet without dribbling the ball.
To score a goal (a "basket") in the game of basketball, the basketball must pass through the hoop of the opponent's goal. When a person is attempting to throw the ball so it will pass through the hoop and score a goal or basket, it is called taking a shot or shooting the basketball. This may seem strange because "shooting" is usually an action word associated with firearms, but the terminology is the same.
Whenever a basketball player is dribbling down the court and a defensive player is coming from behind, your teammates/fans yell "wolf" to tell the person with possession of the ball to beware that the defense is about to steal the ball.
double dribble is a basketball term it means to dribble ( bouncing the ball while running) thethe ball then stop bouncing the ball and start dribbling again. It can also mean to bounce the ball with 2 hands but that hardly ever happens
i play basketball and if the person with the ball goes up for the shot and you slap him on the arm it is a shooting foul and you go to line to shoot free throws
versatility
small forward, the person "responsible" for scoring and shoots. Also the shooting guard but not as much. Positions are also mentioned 3 for small forward and 2 for shooting guard
That is a very general question, but I will break it down for you; me having a passion for the game myself. Having basketball skill means first and foremost being able to play the game with at least good if not great overall ability in the basic and advance attributes required in every player. example: dribbling, shooting, stealing and ect. Now having basketball skill can be seen at an entire different aspect in street-ball and that is having natural instinct. In other words this is a person who has more then just the basics down. They have basketball I.Q, I'm not talking about knowledge but an ability. So then what am I saying? basketball skill is an accumulation of many abilities that lie within a player; in a technical view. In a another view, basketball skill is going above and beyond.
in basket sometimes you have to not dribble an a basket ball. You have to put high in the air. Because when you are bouns- ing the ball some onw will get it in the middle. So you also have to run fast. You pass.Ok
