a balanced plate is when u have a equal ampont of food on both sides and when u put it on scalesit is equale
That is just the way major league baseball makes the schedule. In 2010, the Yankees started on the road and the Mets started at home.
Because they're both from the same state and they're city rivals.

My opinion is very little. The Moon's gravity pulls uniformly on both sides of a tectonic plate.
Willy Aybar of the Tampa Bay Rays is the most recent batter to hit home runs from both sides of the plate, at home to the Kansas City Royals on August 3rd. There have been nine instances of switch hitters hitting home runs from both sides of the plate in the 2009 season. Nick Swisher and Mark Texeira, both of the New York Yankees, have done it twice. Tony Clark and Felipe Lopez, of the Arizona Diamondbacks, achieved home runs from both sides of the plate in the same game, at home to the Colorado Rockies on April 6th. The other two batters to accomplish the feat are Melky Cabrera (also of the Yankees) and Orlando Hudson (Los Angeles Dodgers).
Because the Giants and the Dodgers both left for California in the 50's and William Shea brought NL baseball back to New York in 1962.
There are currently 2 Major League Baseball (MLB) The New York Yankees and The New York Mets. There used to be 3 when the Brooklyn Dodgers used to be around in the 50's,they have moved to California though.
