Lassan Diarra who now plays for Real Madrid went from Chelsea to Arsenal then to Pompey and then to Madrid. Also William Gallas went from Chelsea to Arsenal in a deal that involved Ashley Cole going from Arsenal to Chelsea. There probally is more but that's all I know off the top of my head.

Chelsea captain John Hollins also played for Arsenal after a spell at QPR.

England centre forward Tommy Lawton played for Chelsea just after WW2 and finished his career at Arsenal after playing for Brentford and Notts County.

Clive Allen signed for Arsenal from QPR but only played 3 friendly matches before he was swapped with Crystal Palace for Kenny Sampson. Clive ended up playing for 7 London clubs, including Chelsea.

Graham Rix started his career at Arsenal and 20 years later when he was a coach at Chelsea, during an injury crisis he played a single Premiership game for the Blues .... against Arsenal.

Alan Hudson played in the 1970 FA Cup final for Chelsea and in the 1978 Cup Final for Arsenal.

Are there any teams in the English Premiership League that have never been relegated?

If I am not wrong, Everton F. C. are the only ones to have never been relegated. Tottenham Hotspurs were never relegated from the Premiership League they never been in the bottom Three and top Four ARSENAL ALSO HAVE NEVER BEEN RELEGATED FROM ENGLANDS TOP FLIGHT. You're wrong about all of those 3. Everton and Arsenal have both, indeed, been relegated from England's to flight (Arsenal (as Woolwich Arsenal) in 1913, Everton in 1930 and again in 1951. It would be ridiculous to claim that Woolwich Arsenal and Arsenal weren't the same club. Tottenham fniished in the top 4 of the Premiership, er, last year.

Why has the Chelsea and Arsenal rivalry been considered an important derby?

Rivalry between these teams has been ongoing since the 1930's as Arsenal FC and Chelsea FC are considered as two of the top football clubs in London. Consequently, matches have big financial implications for both sides as matches attract large attendances.
