He made his Major League debut on August 5th, 1954 with the Brooklyin Robins and he played for them for 2 seasons but then he played his last season with the Kansas City Athletics. He was a Left-Handed Pitcher who was usually a relief pitcher that came out of the pen for both the Robins and the Athletics. In his career he pitched in 26 games and went 0-4 with a 6.48 ERA. He started 6 games and had 1 save. He pitched 58.1 innings and gave up 53 hits and allowed 49 runs but only 42 of those runs were earned. He gavce up 9 Homeruns but he struck out 37 batters.In 1973 he became the Third Base Coach for Hall of Fame manager Walter Alston when he was the manager of the Los Angeles Dodgers. Lasorda became the next manager of the Dodgers after Alston's retirement. His last day as Dodgers manager was June 23, 1996 and he officially retired 6 days later.
