Oddly enough she also set the record for the slowest mile run by a female in 1995 at the age of 82 with a time of 4 Days 16 Hours 37 Minutes and 16.34 Seconds.
As of March 6, 2009 that is Paula Radcliffe of Great Britain who set the world record at 2:15:25 at the 2003 London Marathon.
