The first inductee that was associated with the Steelers was Bert Bell, in 1963, who was a co-owner of the Steelers with Art Rooney. He also coached the team for two games in the 1941 season.

The second inductee was long time owner Art Rooney in 1964.

The third inductee, and first Steelers' player, was running back Bill Dudley who played with the team in 1942, 1945, and 1946 who was inducted in 1966.

The first Steelers PLAYER inducted into the Hall of Fame was not Bill Dudley. Dudley was elected into the Hall of Fame in 1966. Prior to Dudley being elected Johnny 'Blood' McNally was elected to the Hall of Fame in 1963, click on the link below for more information.
