The Montreal Canadiens have won more Stanley Cups than any other.
As of the start of the 2010-2011 season, Montreal has won 25 Cups (one won pre-NHL era), Toronto has won 13, and Detroit Red Wings have won 11.

∙ 12y agoThe Presidents' Trophy has only been awarded since 1986. Three different teams have won it two years in a row:
- Edmonton Oilers (1986, 1987)
- Calgary Flames (1988, 1989)
- Detroit Red Wings (1995, 1996)
The Red Wings also won it in 2004 and 2006. There was no winner in 2005 because the season was cancelled due to the NHL lockout. To date, no team has won the trophy three years in a row.

I'll assume you're talking about the NHL hockey team. Heck, no. They won the Presidents Trophy last year as the best team in the regular season and they made it to the Stanley Cup final. This year (2011-12) they are still amongst the top teams in the NHL. They haven't truly sucked since the late 90's.
