Tough Question! It depends on how hard you are willing to work at both styles.
Me, who does both.. definitely finds Ballet more work. But different people say different things.
You could be born a natural ballerina with perfect turnout and ballet would be a breeze but hip hop would be challenging. And same vice-versa.
Ballet requires flexibility, stretch and turnout. If you do not have core strength, it could be a struggle to improve. In ballet, you are never good enough, there is always something to improve or someone to beat.
In hip-hop, you can be as good as you want. You'll only get out what you put in. You need strength and possibly attitude. But its hard to succeed in hip-hop. There are hardly any famous hip-hoppers and even those don't perform or earn lots.
