What is faster roller blades or roller skates?

I've done both ice skating ad roller skating. I enjoyed ice skating but I wanted expand myself I bought a good fitting pair of roller skates! I found body position was every important. In my opinion the Biggest difference between ice and roller skating are "edges"! Ice skates have one blade on each boot--the ice blade is very narrow--but is still has an inside and a outside edge Roller skates have four wheels and each wheel has an inside and outside edge BUT the edges are 3/4" apart from each other!! When I was ice skating we didn't have inside ice rinks! I had a problem with edges in completion---but I finally found how to REALLY master theoss edges!!!

If modern inline speed skates are compared to modern quad skates, the former are faster, in part due to the difference in wheel size.

Modern inline skates use 100 - 110 mm wheels, which roll much smoother than the smaller 62 mm wheels on quad skates, and therefore the skater loses less energy.

In the Berlin Skate Marathon, which is open to both inline and quad skaters, very few skaters use quads - and the elite and fastest recreational skaters all use inline skates.

it depends on what kind of skates.

when it comes to rollerblades, speed ice skates smoke the speed of a roller blade,

but when it comes to rollerblades and a regular ice skate, i would say they are about even

This would like depend on the speed you are going. Generally, riding a bicycle would be faster than inline skating. However, if you are an expert speed skater who has never riden a bike, then skating would likely be faster.

Blades let you get faster, but you can't turn too sharply. Skates have slightly more stability, and are better for learners, and you can turn corners sharper.
