"Short Tracks", by NASCAR's definition, are tracks shorter than 1 mile in total length. Currently, the Sprint Cup Series holds races at three such tracks:
- Martinsville Speedway, in Ridgeway, Virginia
- Bristol Motor Speedway, in Bristol, Tennesee
- Richmond International Raceway, in Henrico County, Virginia

- Florida, California, Kansas, Tennessee, New York, Iowa, Kentucky, South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia, Illinois, Georgia, Indiana, New Hampshire, Arizona, Nevada, Texas, Michigan, Alabama, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Chicago. -------------Chicago IS NOT A STATE LMAO

Most of the officials attend every race. Like any job from time to time someone will not be able to work a race. The tracks do not pay them, they are payed by NASCAR.
