The back of a Baseball card typically features a short biography of the player, and the players Statistics. It also includes the card number of the set it belongs to, and company information. The last year of stats listed is from the year before the card was issued with the exception of traded or up-date cards. For example: a card which lists the stats from 2001 was issued in 2002.

∙ 14y agoOne of the first cards ever made was recently discovered by a 72 year old Californian woman. the card is from 1869 picturing the first professional baseball team, the Cincinnati Red Stockings. She almost sold the card on eBay for $10. The card sold for $64,073. in a February 2009 at auction.
The women, and her husband have been selling antiques in their Tower District Antique store since 1974. The women found the card as she was looking through a few old boxes of antiques for items to list on e-bay.
Finding a baseball card of this value takes a lot of searching, and a lot of luck. Searching at yard sales, antique shops, and boxes in the attic will improve your chances.
