Type your answer here... well there are three logo's first one is a penguin holding a hockey stick with a scarf on, second is the penguin logo in the 1990's looks like a penguin head, and the latest one is the one on the jersys tht they wear today. (it's kinds hard to explain)

After deciding on the nickname Penguins, inspired by the fact that the team was to play in the "Igloo", the nickname of the Pittsburgh Civic Arena, a logo was chosen that had a penguin in front of a triangle, which symbolized the "Golden Triangle" of downtown Pittsburgh.
