What was Jesse Owens childhood like?

Jesse Owens often had what his mother called "the devil's cold". He was very small for his age. He his family moved to Cleveland, Ohio when he was around 7, 8, or 9 years old. He worked extra hard to keep his family alive. A couple of his jobs are: delivering groceries, loaded frieght carts, and worked in a shoe repair shop. It was then when he realized he had a passion for running. And that's all I telling you in this answer. You can text me, and my username is at the bottom. Apparently, I heard that his parents were slaves and that they could hardly Afford food and that's what imspired hi m to earn lots of money so he could help his parents out when he was at school he won 3 track medals - one talented fast kid ;)
