Um they should be on whatever team you put the created player on franchise or not. They might not be starting so you might have to go to depth chart and put them as a starter

Save your player and then go to the depth chart to make sure he is a starter. Once confirmed go into a game and he should be there... Once you start your franchise you select your team (if this is a new franchise your player should be on that team).
