Florida's first entered the SEC 1933. They are currently still a part of the SEC.

The Gators first season of football was 1906.
In 1933 thirteen schools (Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Kentucky, LSU, Mississippi, Mississippi State, Sewanee, Tennessee, Tulane, and Vanderbilt) departed the Southern Conference to form the Southeastern Conference (SEC).
The Florida Gators created the beverage and were the first to use it. Go Gators! =P

It was first concocted by a team doctor for the University of Florida Gators football team.
According to College Football Data Warehouse, the first Florida/Florida State game was played in 1958 with Florida winning 21-7.
