I was at a game at the old Cleveland Stadium that was the 2nd game of a double header. It was in the late 1950's or early 1960's. I think I remember it was actually called a "Twi-light" or "Twi-night" double header. I thought it ended in the 21st inning, but that could be wrong. Maybe it was the 19th or 20th inning. I cannot find this game in an internet search. Does anyone else remember anything about this? (Most people had left by the time it ended, I think between 1 and 2 AM. ---- Good memory!
On June 14, 1963 the Indians and Washington Senators played a twilight (twinight) doubleheader. The Senators won the first game, 5-2, and the Indians won the second game, 3-2, in 19 innings on Willie Kirkland's home run off of Jim Coates leading off the bottom of the 19th.

The Indians played a 22 inning game against the Minnesota Twins on August 31, 1993 at the Metrodome in Minneapolis. The Twins won. 5-4, on a leadoff home run by Pedro Munoz off of Jason Grimsley in the bottom of the 22nd. ---------------- Wow, thanks!! I was beginning to think I was crazy. And thanks for the box score link which helped me remember a lot more. Gary Bell was my favorite player and this was one of his best pitched games.
