The dunk was banned from 1967 to 1976 in College Basketball, according to Wikipedia.org. I'm not sure it was ever banned in pro Basketball, except that the players used to just lay it up rather than dunking in fear of retribution (in the form of hard fouls), if I remember correctly.
1976
Bob Kurland, a player for Oklahoma A&M (now Oklahoma State) from 1942 through 46 is reported to be the first player to dunk in games. A Denver newspaper reported his first "duffer shot" in 1945. It was later banned, and then reinstated in the 1970s.
am i reinstated, now i have payed my ticket
You have to increase your dunk at least to 80 and if you edit your player you can choose what specialty dunk you want. The higher the dunk rating the better the specialty dunk. When you dunk most of the time it will do the specialty dunk.
yes, for 3 weeks, towards the end of the 1997-1998 season, the dunk was banned, the thought being that it was too aggressive and was in poor taste. it was reinstated just in time for the playoffs.

First you need a player that has a high dunk rating, like Jordan. You can do a dunk in a game and possibly do a craddle dunk. Im not quite sure if there is a signature dunk that allows you to craddle dunk but you can try.
Muggsy bogues did dunk one time which was his one and only dunk. So yes he did dunk before
