When this girl was little she had a perfect round off back handspring then she got a mental block and now she cant do it anymore its been going on for many years what should she do?

I found the same thing happened to me. I was great at back handsprings then all of a sudden I couldn't do it anymore. I think it is mostly to do with confidence. I found that I lacked confidence and I wasn't throwing them properly because something inside me was scared. I think you just go back to the basics and work your way up again.

Think less about your hands hitting the ground and think about whipping your legs over your head as quickly and forcefully as possible. Don't get scared to hit the ground. It's there to catch you if you mess up. When whipping your legs over, press your legs as tightly as possible together. Squeeze in your muscles and body as tightly as possible. POINT YOUR TOES AND KEEP YOUR ANKLES TOGETHER. Use your hands to help you push out of the handspring and into the landing.
