The first revolution was February 17, 1917 (Old style date) March 2, 1917 (new style date). The differences in dates was because Russia was on the Julian calendar which was about 13 days behind the western countries which were on the Gregorian calendar.

The second revolution was on October 25, 1917 (Old style) November 7, (New style).

Some historians will say the very first "Russian Revolution" occurred on January 22, 1905, which was called Bloody Sunday. While that revolution did result in the creation of the legislature known as the Duma, it did not result in a change in government. The Tsar remained in control.
