The three point line was introduced into the NBA for the 1979-80 season.
It was 1980. Go to the following link to read the history of 3-pointer: http://www.hoophall.com/history/threepoint_shot_history.htm
The 3 point line was officially adopted by the NBA in the 79-80 season.
The NBA three point line was moved up 3 feet for the 2006-07 season to 19 feet 9 nine inches at the top of the key and 19 feet two inches on the sideline. The NBA three point was moved back three feet for the 2007-08 season to its orignal length. The NBA introduced the three point line in the 1979-80 season at a length of 23'9" from the top of the key to a length of 22 feet in the corners. In the 1994-95 season, the NBA changed things so the three point line was a uniform 22 feet from the basket. The distance was reverted to 23'9" in the 1997-98 season and has been there ever since. The 19'9" distance is the distance of the college basketball three point line, which will be changed to 20'9" for the 2008-09 season. The NBA three point line has never been set at 19'9".
Terry Gannon in 1986
The three point line became a permanent rule in the 1980-1981 season.
Before the 1986-1987 season.
The 3 point shot was added in 1987, that year Steve Alford (Indiana) led the Nation in 3 point accuracy!
apparently this year UGA (georgia bulldogs) have the highest average weight on the offensive line, in college and in the pros.
The NCAA officially adopted the 3 point basket in 1986. It was experimented and used in some conferences prior to that but didn't become official as we know it until the '86-'87 season.
yes,he played pg the first year of college
The three-point line was added to my high school basketball court my senior year. That was the 1987-88 season. I remember this because we did not have enough girls to fill a varsity team and I never got the opportunity to shot a 3 pointer and of course I was an outside shooter. There is no telling how many 3 pointers I shoot before the line was adopted into the high schools.
he made his first three point shot for the Chicago Bulls
Law School is three years but you have to have a four year degree from a college first before you can apply for law school

There are three possible education options. The first is a Bachelor of Science obtained through a four year nursing program at an accredited university or college. The second is an Associate of Science obtained through a two to three year program at an accredited college, community college, or junior college. The third is a certificate diploma obtained through a three year program with a hospital.
four year of regular college then four year of medical college then of course give an MCAT before going to medical college then three years of specialization in obstetrics
A two year college will not cost you near as much as a four year college will. Community colleges (usually two years) will have a low per credit hour rate. At a four year college (usually a university) their per credit hour rates are twice or sometimes three times more depending on where you attend.
I wanna say '85.
