Yogi Berra was an active Major League player from 1946 to 1963. Then became the Manager of the Yankees in 1964 and Manager of the New York Mets from 1972 to 1975.

Yogi Berra Managed the New York Yankees in 1964, finished in 1st place in the American League with a 99-63 win/loss record.He then managed the Yankees in 1984 finished in 3rd place with a record of 87-75. In 1985 After the team went 6-10 yogi was fired and Billy Martin took over as Manager. The enraged Berra vowed he would never return to the stadium again. He did eventually patch things up with Steinbrenner, and returned to the Stadium in 1999.
