In 1966, CBS executive Mike Burke took over as president after manager, Johnny Keane, was fired and GM Ralph Houk replaced him. After Steinbrenner bought the Yankees from CBS on January 3, 1973, Burke stayed on as president but quit in April. He continued to hold a minority share into the 1980s
